Hello! Today we are going through all my favorite art supplies. I’ve been making art since I was a kid. I had to get a bunch of mandatory art supplies in college, and over the last 10 years of working and painting as a tattooer, I’ve slowly learned my favorites. These are art supplies I use regularly, brushes I reach for first, paints and materials I love, and every-day type items that may not matter in regards to this or that specific brand, but are basics I use all the time. To go with this video, I’ve made 2 lists that you can refer to with links. One is a blog post on my website: https://reddumonde.com/blogs/news/fav... And one is a Benable list: https://benable.com/reddumonde/art-su... The Benable list has pictures and on some of the links I get a small commission when you purchase through the Benable link, which is super cool! But also I 100% understand if you’re not into that kind of thing. I’m working on making more Benable lists of all kinds, some that are more specific like my print-making set up, and some that are more personal like gardening supplies, my favorite candles, etc. What I like about Benable is that I can link anything, even stuff that isn’t commissionable, basically anything that has a web presence. So I can make a list of my favorite artists, restaurants, local businesses, anything really! Anyway, they’re not sponsoring this video, I’m just excited to be able to share some of my favorite stuff with ya’ll. One more thing to note, with both the blog post and the Benable list, I included some items that I don’t go over in the video, and some items that I don’t currently have but would like to have, or perhaps it’s an item that a friend has and has spoken highly of. I make notes about these things, and wanted to include them to give ya’ll some flexibility with prices, sizes, etc. if you’re looking into some of the larger or more pricey studio items such as a big fine art printer. I should probably make a video about my print-making set up, let me know in the comments if that sounds like something you’d want to watch! Ok, if you’ve read this far, you’re a champion, go get yourself a little treat, you deserve it! … If you're new here, my name is Red and I'm a painter and tattooer in upstate South Carolina. On my channel I show the painting side of my job, and behind the scenes of studio stuff. I hope you like the video, and I'm glad you're here. Subscribe, leave a lil thumbs up, or leave a comment if you like, it would be super cool!
