Date: Aug2020 Surgeon: Dr. Bryant Giles, DO, PGY4 Cataract Case #146 Lens: ZXR00 (Symfony EDOF IOL) This patient is a routine cataract case. The patient has visually significant cataracts, bad enough to have caused her to have two night-time car wrecks. Her cataracts had to go! She does not want to wear reading glasses, so this Johnson & Johnson Symfony lens is an excellent choice to give her the best chance at being spectacle independent. The Symfony lens is similar to a multi-focal lens, but works a little difference. We are planning on a J&J Multi-focal in her second, non-dominant eye as part of her "Personalized Vision". On post-op day #1, she was seeing 20/20 at distance and 20/20 at near, which is amazing! She loves her new lens and can't wait for the second lens.
