Visit HostGator.com You can use this link to help support the channel: https://letsbuildwp.com/hosting20 (thank you!) 2. Hover over "Web Hosting" at the top and click into "Web Hosting". 3. Choose your hosting plan. I recommend the Hatchling plan. 4. Enter the domain name you'd like to register. 5. Choose length of hosting plan. I recommend at least 1 year, to get the free domain name. 6. Remove the 2 optional ad-ons, as we don't need them. (Domain Privacy Protection & Professional Email) 7. Enter personal information, password, and payment information. After paying for our order, we'll be automatically logged into our HostGator account. Now we can start installing WordPress. 8. Click into "Hosting" on the left. 9. Click "Add Site" over on the right. 10. Make sure "Install WordPress" is selected and click "Continue". 11. Enter the site title we want to use for our WordPress site. Don't worry too much about this, it can be easily changed later. 12. Enter the domain name we registered into the box provided, and click "Continue". At this point, HostGator will start installing WordPress for us right away. Usually, this will only take about 30 seconds, but sometimes it can take a little longer. Temporary Domain: HostGator will assign our website a temporary domain name to use, until ours is setup. This can take up to 24 hours, but it's normally done quicker. This will automatically update to the new domain name we registered, without us needing to do anything else. HostGator Onboarding: When we first install WordPress on HostGator, they will recommend using their WordPress onboarding process, but this isn't necessary. To skip over it, just click "Exit to WordPress" in the top left. And then click "Exit" in the middle. At this point, we'll be brought into the WordPress Dashboard, which is where we can add content, and make changes to our new WordPress website, which is now LIVE online. To navigate between the WordPress Dashboard and our website, we just need to click our site title in the top left. I hope you found this helpful. Until next time, Martie. #WordPress #HostGator #2025 #LetsBuildWordPress
