Today we're taking a look at two capes from the late Victorian or early Edwardian period -- between the 1890s-1900s -- and seeing what the difference is in construction and drape of a half-circle versus a full-circle capelet. How are they made, what materials were they made of, what embellishments were used, and how they drape when worn. These are two velvet capelets that have been in my antique collection for many years.
