It's finished in the sought after Elegance spec and has the smooth and strong 120bhp, 1.8 litre petrol engine mated to a smooth 5 speed automatic gearbox. W202s were the original C-Class, replacing the 190E that preceded it, and these cars have a fantastic reputation for quality and longevity. The range was facelifted in 1997 and this is an example of the facelifted mode, with smoked rear lights and its body colour side skirts a giveaway to it being a later car. Our car is in excellent condition for its age and presents itself well. This is NOT your usual rot box - It's very solid all around. The car is not immaculate and has not been restored but it's exceptionally clean and tidy for its age. There are some light scratches on the boot-lid where it looks as though someone has rested a box or item and marked the paintwork - It is however, very original and very much unmolested. The C180s 120bhp engine is normally aspirated and so is hugely reliable and robust. Its also very quiet and smooth - Still giving an exceptional level of refinement, for which these cars are famous. The W202 is a well proportioned car, and this one is in remarkable condition being free of the usual rot and marks that you normally see on a car of this age.
