Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=19042899 Great Barrier Reef Sailing spectacular - We had spoken to many boaties about the notorious Percy islands, old wise tails about sailors being stuck in storms and having to seek refuge in this bunker group, located about 120km off Mackay. Foraging off the land, eating the goats that we're put there for that very reason. There is a beautiful energy on this island, its beauty, ruggedness, rawness really is something else, a true oasis. We were beyond stoked that we got to sail there on our very own vessel. We were fortunate enough to squeeze into the lagoon on high tide and run our boat dry for the first time ever! This is one of the reasons we wanted a catamaran and we were so happy with how she sat on the sand. Every time we venture further and further into the Great Barrier Reef we are blown away by its diversity. It reminds us of our place within it and how delicate the systems within it really are.
