How to make a faraday bag, RFID blocking bag, NFC blocking bag, EMF blocking bag, RF shielded bag. In this video learn to make a DIY faraday bag for your car key FOBs, RFID cards, NFC cards, electronics and electronic Passports that you can use when you are traveling or are out and about. Protect your data and vehicles from theft through RFID readers, NFC readers, Relay Attack devices and more. Relay attack methods are used in keyless car thefts nowadays outside people’s homes and are also possible when they are out and about. There are proofs of concepts for relay attacks on credit cards too so it’s important to protect your cards and vehicle key FOBs from wireless access without your knowledge. Find links to these demo videos further below. When you go out, protect yourself by putting your key FOBs, RFID cards and passports in a Faraday bag like the one we make in the video. Similar to faraday cages, these faraday bags block radio frequency signals from entering or escaping the bag. Unique to our faraday bag is the magnetic close lip to help shield the opening from RF leaks. See how this is done and how we tested our faraday bag in the video. If you need to, you can also make one to fit your smartphones and laptops too… just like the one I demo for my smartphone. NOTE: The copper shielding tape can be sharp so be careful not to cut yourself with it. Use clear packing tape as a protective layer over your bag. Make sure a little tape wraps over the lip of the opening of the bag on both sides (but don't cover the whole magnet on the inside lip). This will help prevent sharp edges on the lip of the opening.
