This 3D-Printed Nut Collector Makes Gathering Nuts Effortless

Sometimes I design for fun, sometimes for necessity. This one is kind of in-between. I didn't need it, but for some reason always wanted one. It's something that simply makes everything a little more enjoyable knowing that 3D printing is going to good use. Every few years the oak trees in my area bombard the yard with acorns. I mean LOTS of acorns! They're slamming on the roof and deck at all hours, and they're loud! They accumulate in the yard and the dog has been trying to eat them and I'm sure they're not good for the lawnmower either... I've seen these nut collectors in the stores before, just never bought one and dealt with the nutty mess in the yard. I added it to my list of 'Things to 3D Print' a while ago, and now is the time. This video gives a run through all the parts, design, printing, assembly, testing and use. I tried to make something somewhat boring to be slightly entertaining, let me know how I did.
