www.AgsterEd.com - Minneapolis Trombone Masterclass Vol. 2 The Animator - Written for Ben Link This is the fifth trombone duet from Vol. 2 of my Minneapolis Trombone Masterclass Series that I will be releasing from 2020-2021. Each of these duets features a professional trombonist from the Minneapolis area. This fifth duet features Ben Link. I titled it "The Animator" as it will be part of a larger two part Suite called "The Animator and The Illustrator." I am the animator in this set, since I just got into the 8 bit retro animation to create an homage to one of my favorite original NES games Megaman. My friends and I used to get together and create villains to send in to Ninetendo Power magazine with the dream of them making it into the next Megaman game. Ben is an incredibly creative illustrator who will be developing the main boss concept for the next portion of this duet. There is a fantastic special guest appearance by Lucia Sarmiento on the electric sax as well. I also composed the majority of the music using retro synth sounds out of triangle waves, square waves, and noise. The trombone sounds have been effected as well as paired with synth sounds to help them blend into the texture. Special thanks to Keith Kopatz for bringing the mix together in the end. He really made it pop! It is an incredible privilege to have such talented friends to help bring everything together. Thanks to everyone involved! I modified the DragonRod sprite sheet to create Molten Rex. Everything else was modeled after real pictures or Megaman characters.
