R6 - Steel Braided Brake Lines!!

BIG PROJECT FOR TODAY!! In today's video I go step by step on (How-To) replace your OEM rubber brake lines with fancy, good looking, colorful steel braided lines! I explain the PRO's of having steel braided lines over the OEM rubber hoses and I fully show the entire process from start to finish! This is a long video but If you need a step by step tutorial I think this video will work for you! R6 Union Bolt/Banjo Bolt Torque Specs Front Calipers - 24 ft/lbs Front Master Cylinder - 24 ft/lbs Rear Caliper - 24ft/lbs Rear Master Cylinder - 24 ft/lbs Steel Braided Brake Line Install Steps: Step 1 - Remove brake fluid from the front Step 2 - Remove brake fluid from the rear Step 3 - Remove the front fender Step 4 - Throw down some rags Step 5 - Remove ABS sensor Step 6 - Remove sensor line clips Step 7 - Remove brake lines from the manifold Step 8 - Remove mounting bolt Step 9 - Remove manifold from bracket Step 10 - Remove brake lines from calipers Step 11 - Remove bolt from mount Step 12 - Remove master brake line Step 13 - Straighten out bracket Step 14 - Install Three Way manifold Step 15 - Install Left side brake line Step 16 - Install Right side brake line Step 17 - Tighten lines at the manifold Step 18 - Tighten brake line going to manifold Step 19 - Tighten union/banjo bolts Step 20 - Double check fittings Step 21 - Install master brake line Step 22 - Install brake line mount Step 23 - Check all fittings and bolts Step 24 - Admire great work! Step 25 - Install front fender Step 26 - Move to the rear Step 27 - Remove reservoir bracket Step 28 - Remove EVERYTHING! Step 29 - Remove the bracket Step 30 - Hold off on this step, trust me! Step 31 - Hold off on this step also! Step 32 - Flatten the small flange Step 33 - Install two manifolds together! Step 34 - Tighten down input & output lines Step 35 - Install small brake line Step 36 - Tighten on both ends Step 37 - Install long brake line Step 38 - Attach wheel sensor line Step 39 - Tighten both ends Step 40 - Reinstall the reservoir bracket Step 41 - Tighten Allen bolt and nut DONE!!! Time to add brake Fluid! Bleeding the Brake Line Steps: Fill the reservoir almost to the top of the container Step 1 - Place Vinyl line onto bleeder screw Step 2 - Make sure bleeder screw is closed Step 3 - Open the bleeder Screw Step 4 - Push brake lever and close the bleeder screw Step 5 - Release the lever, and open the bleeder screw once again Step 6 - Push on the lever and close then bleeder screw Step 7 - Repeat steps 2 to 6 Step 8 - Fluid level in the reservoir Step 9 - Once you see some fluid, close the screw and move to the other front caliper Step 10 - While doing this make sure you watch your reservoir and keep topping it off Step 11 - Now that you have fluid at both front calipers, move onto the master cylinder Step 12 - Repeat the process Step 13 - Move back to left front caliper Step 14 - Pump lever three times and hold, open the bleeder screw to allow fluid to flow Step 15 - Move on to the master Step 16 - Clean off bleeder screws Step 17 - Refill the reservoir Step 18 - Tie off levers Hardware Left Over 1x Allen Bolt from OEM rear manifold 4x Crush Washers from the OEM Union/Banjo bolts from the rear 2x Union/Banjo bolts from the rear 1x Union/Banjo bolt from front master brake line 1x Union/Banjo bolt from front right side caliper 1x Union/Banjo bolt from front left side caliper 1x Allen Bolt from front OEM Manifold 6x Crush Washers from OEM Union/Banjo bolts from the front 5x OEM rubber brake lines which you removed -------------------- FIND ME HERE! ✦Instagram -   / chrgitup   ✦YouTube -    / chrgitup   ✦Facebook -   / chrgitup   ✦Support the Channel on Patreon -   / chrgitup   -------------------- CHRGITUP MERCH!
