Nothing has changed with his build, I think I swapped one of the shards, but that’s about it. So instead of doing another 10-minute Survival with a build you’ve all seen before, here’s a level cap run. Passive — 25% dodge and AoE damage reduction. Not bad, but his 4 completely overrides it, so… whatever. Xata’s Whisper — Absolutely stupidly strong. One of the best weapon damage buffs in the game, and the crazy part is that Xaku doesn’t even need it. There’s no direct interactions with Xaku's kit, unlike with frames like Nova, so here it’s just a great weapon buff that double dips for Banes. Still fantastic. Grasp of Lohk — The reason Xata’s is whatever on him. Why use a weapon buff when you’ve got the best damaging ability in the game? The guns scale infinitely, make level cap a joke, and require minimal upkeep, just refresh them from time to time to keep up with enemy levels. Augment: Vampiric Grasp — useless, since Xaku isn’t an HP tank. The Lost — Not my favorite ability overall. Accuse — basically Nyx’s Chaos, but no Radiation proc, so no Universal Fallout synergy. Gaze — stationary defense strip; not a fan of being locked in one place. Deny — another CC ability, not that useful. I replaced this with Pillage, for a mobile armor strip that fully replenishes shields, trivializing shield gating. Augment: The Relentless Lost — still forces you to use weaker versions of the abilities for benefits. Since Xaku already builds high Strength for Grasp scaling, it’s not worth it. The Vast Untime — 75% dodge and AoE DR, pauses all ability durations, and debuffs enemies to take more Void damage. Amazing ability, great QoL with the duration pause (so you don’t need much Duration) and easily the best box breaker in the game. You’ll have it up permanently. Overall, Xaku isn’t my favorite level cap frame anymore, but he’s still one of, if not the, best at it. As I said before: he’s good at everything, bad at nothing.
