The program sponsor, Dr. Hriar Cabayan, has placed strong emphasis on the importance of education, particularly underscoring the significance of the role of women in society. He has established this program in memory of his father, naming it the Sarkis Cabayan Small and Emerging Business Development Program in Armenian Provinces with Scholarships for Women. The program is particularly intended to promote regional advancement through educational scholarships for women participating in Extension courses within AUA. Derived from his stated vision, the Program adds significance to women’s roles in society. Those who can expand their talent of creation throughout society are leaders in generating and advancing new economies in the regions. To date, the Program has been implemented in the Shirak, Lori, and Vayots Dzor regions.
