I traveled to Yinxing Guli Homestay in Changxing County, Zhejiang, China, near the famous ginkgo tree corridor, to spend the afternoon learning about traditional wellness, daily life at a rural homestay, and what it really feels like to slow down. During my visit, I experienced a traditional herbal tea bath and moxibustion therapy, and talked with the owner of Yinxing Guli through my translator, Joanna. We discussed how she moved from the tea industry into hospitality, why she chose the name Yinxing Guli (“ginkgo hometown”), and the values that guide the way she runs her homestay. This video also includes moments outside the interview — visiting her son’s new bakery, walking between properties in the rain, and the small gestures that made me feel genuinely welcome. 🎥 SPONSOR This episode is sponsored by China Eastern Airlines, who supported my travel to Changxing, China.
