No one knows who fired the cannon that killed the Swedish warrior king , which has given rise to many myths surrounding the king,s death . Fredriksten Fortress , often besieged , but never defeated we tend to say in Halden . Without Fredriksten Fortress and Halden, history could have looked very different today . The sacrifices that were made at the ,battle for the citizens defense , are a piece of solid war history in NORWAY . So important that Fredriksten ( HALDEN ) is the only town mentioned in the National Anthem( verse 4).
