🦅 Video Description: Trempealeau Eagles – A New Beginning In this clip from the Trempealeau nest, the eaglets have just hatched. Mrs. T and Mr. T take turns feeding their young, showing the kind of parental cooperation that gives hope for a strong start. The nest is calm, the chicks are hungry, and life seems to be unfolding as nature intended. But this moment is just the beginning. In the days ahead, a brutal winter storm will test the strength of this nest. Two of these eaglets will tragically freeze to death, a stark reminder of how unforgiving the wild can be. Yet one survivor will endure—and grow into the eagle we now know as Little T. 🐣 Hatch Dates (Estimated) TE3: Hatched around April 1, 2025 TE4 & TE5: Hatched shortly after, likely between April 2–4, 2025 These dates align with the typical eagle hatching window at the Trempealeau nest, which usually occurs in late March to early April. This video captures the fragile beauty of life at its earliest stage, and the resilience that defines the journey of every bird of prey. ❄️ Death Dates TE4 & TE5: Tragically died on the morning of April 21, 2025, during a cold rainstorm. All three eaglets were alive and active at 5:25 AM By 8:00 AM, TE5 had succumbed to exposure3 The storm brought soaking rain and freezing winds, and Mrs. T had left the nest to hunt. Despite her strong maternal instincts, the conditions were too severe for the younger chicks to survive. 🦅 Survivor: TE3 TE3 endured the storm and continued to grow, eventually becoming known as Little T—a symbol of resilience and survival in the face of harsh conditions. Egg-laying and hatching timelines have shifted, hinting at deeper ecological or relational changes The nest is part of a broader study by the Raptor Resource Project, offering insights into eagle resilience and adaptation👉 https://www.raptorresource.org This stream features Mr. T and Mrs. T, nesting in a white pine overlooking the Mississippi River in Trempealeau, Wisconsin.👉 Watch the Trempealeau Eagles Live on YouTube 🛡️ Copyright Disclaimer for Trempealeau Eagles Footage 🎥 Footage courtesy of the Raptor Resource Project and Explore.org © Raptor Resource Project / Explore.org This video contains screen captures from the Trempealeau Eagles live cam, shared for educational and non-commercial purposes.
