Over two decades ago, Doyle McCormack started work on restoring an Alco PA to operation. Now in 2025 and with the help of the famous Delaware Lackawanna, the Alco PA finally roared to life, closing a chapter in railroad preservation history! It's still surreal to finally see a real Alco PA operating in modern day, and paired with a genuine D&H RS-3! While I would've liked to see the PA in D&H paint, I'm honestly glad it still wears its NKP paint. I wouldn't complain if it wears it for the rest of time, it's a beautiful scheme! I'm glad the PA's in the hands of Delaware Lackawanna, if any railroad was gonna get this engine up and running, it'd be them! Huge props to DL for pulling through! And of course...huge props to Doyle McCormack! Without him, we probably wouldn't have an Alco PA in the US! Thank you and congratulations to everyone involved in the PA project! Thanks For Watching!
