With the help of the Colourful Heritage team, the unique British Indian Army story of the late Veteran Naik Gian Singh VC was highlighted along with his rare and precious Victoria Cross medal on the BBC Antiques Roadshow when they visited Pollock Park during summer 2023. The medal is only 1 of 39 VC’s given out during Ww1 & 2 to the British Indian Army. It was evaluated at £250K! It is the only Victoria Cross from the British Indian Army owned by a Sikh veteran in Scotland. It is now on display at Kelvingrove art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow.
