The Buildings of Jesse Horsfall. The Man who Created Todmorden.

Jesse Horsfall was born in Todmorden in 1859, his father was an architect. At 21 years old, Jesse was given the task of creating a coffee house and temperance hotel by John Fielden. Over the next 30 years, until his passing in 1910 at 51 years of age, Jesse was the lead architect on a number of buildings across Todmorden. Most of them still stand today 130 years later. Join me on a wander around Todmorden and see what buildings appeared during the creation of a new Todmorden at the end of the 19th / early 20th Century.
