Ingredients of Doi Sorshe Potol Recipe: 1. Potol / Pointed gourd / Parwal (500 gm). 2. Plain yogurt (5 tbsp). 3. Mustard seeds paste (5 tbsp). 4. Cumin seeds (¼ tsp). 5. Turmeric powder (½ tsp). 6. Cumin powder (½ tsp). 7. 1 bay leaf. 8. 1 dry red chilli. 9. Green chilli paste (4 no). 10. Salt (as per your taste). 11. Sugar (as per your taste). 12. Mustard oil (4 tbsp). Methods of How to make Doi Sorshe potol: 1. Heat the pan and add 4 tbsp mustard oil in it. 2. Add ¼ tsp cumin seeds, 1 dry red chilli, and 1 bay leaf. Fry it for 10 sec. 3. Add pointed gourd, ¼ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp turmeric powder. Mixed it well. 4. Close the lid for 5 min in medium flame. 5. Now fry the pointed gourd in high flame for 2 to 3 min. 6. After this add5 tbsp mustard seeds paste, 5 tbsp plain yogurt, ½ tsp cumin powder, ¼ tsp salt, green chilli paste, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, and 1 tsp sugar. Mixed it well. 7. Cook for 1 min in high flame. Add 1 cup water. When boiling add close the lid for 10 min in medium flame. 8. After 10 min taste it. Add more salt and sugar as per your taste. 9. Cook in high flame until the gravy become thick. 10. Put off the gas oven. 11. Serve hot Doi Sorshe Potol with hot steamed rice, roti, paratha, luchi,etc.
