Hi YouTube Family! I'm so happy to bring this 8 Week Couch to 5K program to you. For 6 more weeks I'll post one video that you will complete 2-3 or more times. Please complete the video until you feel comfortable enough to move on to the following week. While, I am on a treadmill, please feel free to complete this outdoors if you don't have a treadmill. Again, there is only one video for the week that you will complete 2, 3 or more times before moving to the following week. WEEK TWO: Warm-Up 1 Minute run with 2 minute walk - 10 times with 1:30 minute bonus Cool-Down If you feel like 10 times is too much, I want you to break it up. Perhaps you complete 5 times the first day, then 7 the next and so on. Do what you need to do to build the right way! I want to make sure that you succeed and want you to take your time as you build your endurance. Starting to run or getting back into running can be difficult so I hope that this program will help you get and stay on track. Having the wrong type of shoe can cause a lot of discomfort and/or injury. Your local (specialized) running store will typically have experts to help you choose the right shoe and/or have devices that will let you know the type of foot that you have and the best shoe for you. Let’s motivate each other to keep using our treadmills and get amazing results. I will do my best to challenge you to go to new heights to help you become stronger, better and faster! Many of the workouts are High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts. HIIT workouts not only help build endurance, strength and speed but they are great ways to burn an increased amount of calories and with HIIT workouts you get maximum results in less time. Using a treadmill to change your routine and the intensity of your workout can help you reach new highs in your personal fitness. Again TreadChic, has been designed for all individuals regardless of your fitness level. It is for the slowest of walkers to the fastest of sprinters. Each participant is given guidelines to determine their speed at the start of class. I truly believe that we need to help empower one another to reach new and wonderful levels. It is my vision to make sure participants complete each workout feeling challenged and empowered to come back and do it again! Before I go I want to remind you that during the workouts you will be taking your body above your comfort level. Push yourself but be sensible and please remember that each individual is different. This is your class….you need to work at YOUR level and push YOUR level and not try to compete or try to do way more than you’re ready for. We want to make sure we remain injury free so that we can always enjoy working out and making our bodies better. Let’s go!
