Parc des Chutes Dorwin (Dorwin Falls Park) and Cascades De Rawdon (Cascades Park) To contemplate the Ouareau River, what better than a stop at Parc des Chutes-Dorwin. You will discover magnificent falls, 60 feet high, surrounded by an opulent forest. Visitors will be seduced by the magic of the Indian legend of the sorcerer Nipissingue. Lookouts and ecological trails will allow you to appreciate the native flora. Before or after the hike, you can stop for a picnic under the majestic pines. These magnificent 18 m high waterfalls, surrounded by lush forest, receive several thousand tourists each year. Several services and activities offered on the site: 3 km of ecological trails, children's games, four observation belvederes, geocaching, parking, picnic area, and place to deposit the ashes (BBQ). Located on the Ouareau River, upstream from Pontbriand Lake, discover the peaceful Cascades Park and let yourself be carried away by the rippling of the water as it flows over the rocks. It's an amazing place to chill. The numerous waterfalls delight sunbathers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. A large parking lot and a snack bar are nearby. It's a beautiful place to visit and take pictures and also a great place for a picnic with good facilities. I did find it rather crowded though. If you are looking for more peace and tranquility than I suggest Dorwin Falls on the other side of Rawdon. The three magnificent green spaces including Dorwin Falls Park, Cascades Park and the municipal beach are accessible to the citizens and visitors by the Municipality of Rawdon. These three sites are accessible free of charge to all residents of Rawdon. During the summer season, the visitors must obtain a bracelet for one of the reception stations of one of the sites which will give them access to the 3 sites.
