I used some leftover, already-mixed Dharma dyes to test the ageing behavior and check how much the colors degrade over time. I tested 6-month-old, 2-weeks-old and fresh dye. At two weeks, all dyes looked pretty usable, but at 6 month, Fuchsia Red and Lemon Yellow had degraded significantly. By the way, just to be 100% clear, there was NO soda ash in the mixed dyes, I only soaked the piece of fabric in it. I imagine soda ash could affect the degradation process quite a lot.
