Facebook: / abandoned-kansai Blog: http://abandonedkansai.com/ I am way more into urban exploration (http://abandonedkansai.wordpress.com/) than geocaching, but when a friend of mine showed me the "Ring der Nibelungen" (Ring of the Nibelungs) I had to come back a few days later to take a video of the last three stations. I'm neither a director nor a director of photography, so please pardon that my camera work doesn't live up to the most amazing geocache ever. This cache was disabled on 2011-08-29 after about 2300 logs (and more than 900 favorite points) in less than 2 years according to geocaching.com - tree felling works in the forest near Einhausen / Lorsch (Germany) made this step necessary, but the owners hope they will be able to rebuild the cache afterwards or somewhere else. This cache was so popular that people came from all over Germany and other countries, on weekends queues were formed and people had to wait in line before they were able to continue without spoilers. Speaking of spoilers - of course this video contains lots of spoilers since it shows the final three stations of this multi-cache. (Station 2 starts at around 1.50, the final station and probably best in geocaching history starts at around 4.10 - it took some (unedited) walking in-between the stations...) For all people not understanding German I give you the voiced lines of the last station - so major spoilers will follow after the colon: "Du hast mich besiegt!" (You've defeated me!) "Mein Schatz ist nun dir." (My treasure is yours.) The rest are coordinates not valid anymore anyways since all the connected caches had to be deactivated, too. Thanks to "die Helden" (the Heroes) for this amazing setup - and good luck with all your future projects!
