Bandit LOX Pump Development Spring 2024

After the igniter hotfire campaign in February I started upgrading the test stand for LOX pump testing with water and eventually cryogenics. I made a venturi flowmeter and finished a V3 iteration of the LOX pump which you can read about on my website https://www.speedwayspaceproject.space/ After testing the new iterations of the pump this spring I discovered that the off-the-shelf electric skateboard motor controllers were not powerful and robust enough to safely reach the full design power. I actually tried some creative cooling methods for the controllers but they weren't enough. I had to devote a lot of time to classes this semester so I wasn't able to achieve my goal of testing the pump with cryo before summer but I'm hoping to come back strong in the fall with a more powerful controller and a 3D printed metal housing and impeller for testing at full power with LN2 and LOX.
