"Safety Second" by Raivolt (Medium Demon) | Geometry Dash 2.2

Raivolt has really polished this style down, using mostly simple designs within structures but then changing up their shapes in different ways to add that touch of variation. I noticed a similar level of quality in his Zen Blast part, which is actually what reminded me to check out his levels again. As the name is a play on the common phrase "safety first", the level follows a loosely industrial theme given that you may be likely to hear that in some kind of factory setting. The song also sounds really industrial, and I loved how the background movements matched up so well with the beats, e.g. the pillars opening and closing at 0:23, or the blinking dot matrix matching up with the higher-pitched fast melody of that part. Other details like pipes, screws, fires, and explosions with their leftover scorch marks really pull the theme together while not relying too heavily on pure art.
