My old electric planer was getting tired and emotional, so I bought this new shiny one from Screwfix. MacAllister is the house brand of the Kingfisher Group, which also owns B & Q. There were no reviews of this item on the Screwfix website, so I was a little anxious about buying it - but then I remembered the olden days, when the only product reviews you could find would be in Which? magazine. It's a perfectly standard electric planer that does the job it's meant to do. I struggled with the fence - it only works for right-handed people and I'm not one.
