Pizmonim, a special artform that combines poetry and song, has been an integral part of the heritage of out people from time immemorial. It may be traced in the Torah to the very beginning of our history. The twelve Pizmonim on this playlist were selected from Shir U'shbahah Hallel Ve'zimrah. They were recorded in order to perpetuate the Sephardic-Hebrew culture and traditions of singing praise to Hashem on all joyous occasions. These songs are presented here in the accompanying video with the express purpose of enabling the reader to follow the recording in detail and in sequence. The translations have been provided in order to give our proper the full appreciation of their meaning.
