The Manchester Rambler - Performed live at Millennium Gallery

Among the works featured in Museums Sheffield's Force of Nature exhibition is Kathleen Herbert's 'I may be a wage slave on Monday but I am a free man on Sunday', an evocative film exploring the social history and politics of the rural countryside, specifically the Peak District. The film takes its title from Ewan McColl's song The Manchester Rambler, which chronicles the events of the Mass Trespass at Kinder Scout in April 1932. To mark the 2013 anniversary of the Kinder Mass Trespass, Museums Sheffield welcomed members of the Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus for a special performance of The Manchester Rambler in the Force of Nature exhibition space.
