The Top Iconic Buildings of Oxford University: The Radcliffe Camera

The Radcliffe Camera is possibly the most iconic of Oxford University’s many beautiful building. It functions as a reading room of the renowned Bodleian Library to which it is connected by subterranean chambers. This video describes the origins of the building and its perfect placement within Radcliffe Square where it is surrounded by the University Church, All Souls College, Brasenose College, Hertford College, Exeter College and the Old Bodleian Library. The architect was James Gibbs and was financed by Dr John Radcliffe. The video has been carefully compiled by a professional Oxford guide who is also a user of this wonderful edifice.
