Goher Mumtaz is a Pakistani musician, singer-songwriter, music composer, guitarist and actor. He is famous for being the founding member of the rock band, Jal. Goher Mumtaz and Atif Aslam, formed Jal and released their first song "Aadat," written by Goher and sung by Atif. The song became a major hit across the subcontinent. After Atif left to pursue a solo career, Goher brought in Farhan Saeed (vocals) and Amir Sheraz (bass), releasing the hit albums Aadat (2003) and Boondh (2007). Jal also performed in Coke Studio Pakistan (Season 4). After Farhan's exit in 2011, Goher became lead vocalist, and the band released Pyass in 2013, earning nominations for Best Album at Hum and Lux Style Awards. Goher Mumtaz gained recognition for his roles in Kountry Love, Tanhai, Uff Yeh Mohabbat, Ghayal, and Faisla, where he played the lead role and composed the OST. These dramas aired on major Pakistani channels like Geo TV, Hum TV, and ARY Digital. Recently Goher has stepped in the movie industrty. Abhi is a Pakistani film starring Goher Mumtaz and Kubra Khan, with a special guest appearance by Hareem Farooq. The film, which has already been released, features a stellar soundtrack with contributions from renowned artists such as Aima Baig, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Tanya Wells, Nish Asher, Qasim Dair, and Nirmal Roy.
