Monsoon Landing in Mumbai through Thick Clouds and Heavy Rain // Indigo 6E 2137

Two years ago, I travelled with my family from Goa (GOI) to Mumbai (BOM) on Indigo Airlines flight 6E 2137. The aircraft was an Airbus A320 neo. It was an early morning flight and it was July, the middle of the monsoon season in India. For security reasons, filming is not allowed at Goa airport so I have no footage of the take off. However, as we approached Mumbai, I saw a thick layer of clouds over the city and knew it was going to be an exciting landing. I started recording some clips as we descended through the clouds and then finally landed on Runway 27 at Mumbai. Some of the clouds were very thick and very low. You can also see the heavy rain as we land. At the end, we had to deplane by the stairs and use a bus to the terminal, so I added one last photograph of the aircraft from the bus.
