【Hana】Dream With You/Yume e no Ippo（夢への一歩）踊ってみた – Anime Boston 2022

When I was brainstorming potential cosplays for my first major anime convention, my mom had just seen the first episode of Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, which featured Ayumu Uehara dancing in a cute pink dress. She reminded me of this episode, drawing parallels between Ayumu's story to my own experience growing up. Actually, I used to love wearing dresses just like that one, but at some point I sadly gave them up in order to fit in and look more "normal." Just as Ayumu yearned to pursue her dream of becoming a school idol, I spent so many years wishing that I could be myself again. I am so grateful to Anime Boston and the cosplay community for being that place where I can express who I really am. I can't wait to see where this journey takes me, and I really hope you will join me!
