I had to beat this game for this playthrough twice: Once just to see the Normal Ending, and then again to reach the Special Ending add on afterwards. Getting that Special Ending requires you to get all of the NPCs you saw before to show up at Kai's cliff (either by rescuing them from Rebel Circuit stages, or probably complete a task for them) , this should reward you with an in-game achievement called "EVERYONE IS HERE!" This should also show off said Special Ending that features Nega as the new Commander Circuit and a statue of the late Kernel, as I've shown in Part 18. But check the bottom-left corner during that shot of the Kernel statue. There will be two Bonus Commands you can now use to activate extra Burst Techniques. I also made sure to show these commands in this video's thumbnail. ---------- To use the first Burst Technique, press Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Down, Up, Burst. This will unlock the cap of Kai's basic attacks, especially his standing punches, allowing you to punch at mach speed! This will let you pretty much shred through anything that can't protect itself with Overlimit invincibility. You can use the same command to turn this off (but why would you want to at this point?). ---- The second bonus Burst Technique is more complicated to use than it lets on, and I'm still not sure entirely how to pull it off. Equip the Heavenly Piledriver, then use it on a target. As soon as they've been grabbed, go for Up, Down, Burst. If this is done right, this will turn the move into what is called the "TRUE Heavenly Piledriver", where Kai will bring his target into space before crashing them right back down into the ground! This is just slightly more powerful than the normal version. The most I can try to do to bring this out is to mash my Burst after pressing Down, Up. Sometimes I can pull it off this way, other times I can't. Overall, although this is a cool and funny move to pull off, the timing feels very strict to actually do it. ---------- Neither of these Bonus Bursts can be used in the Boss Battles/C.O.M room, which lets you replay a battle against any of the bosses you've faced. If you've beaten the game, this will unlock two different Gauntlet challenges, Full and Shuffled, where you get to either play against all of them in sequence, or in a random order.
