For us, the most stunning feature of this rope was the price. At $150 dollars it’s 2-3 times as expensive as the ropes we reviewed in our last skipping rope roundup. Now them Evo G2 is the first premium rope that we’ve tested. After getting the rope, the first thing we noticed was how heavy the handles were. Out of our top 3 ropes, the G2’s handles were the heaviest. This is both a blessing and a curse. Why? Our biggest gripe with the RX Smart Gear Evo G2 (and it’s the same gripe for their RX rope) is that the rope length isn’t adjustable and the attachment between handles and rope uses a loop. Aaron’s used it for another 1/2 dozen WOD’s since finishing this video and it’s starting to grow on him.
