This is a special version of Wonderful Heaven I remixed for the final battle of the epic-length Touhou self-insert deconstruction Diamond In The Rough. I wanted this version to be less "final boss against a bratty celestial" and more "no matter who wins, Gensokyo is screwed, and it's all your fault." To make this, I first had to make one of my Roland TTS-1 Remakes of Wonderful Heaven (I can upload the original later if need be) based on a midi supplied by Touhou Midi Central (which also has custom midi files for many games that don't have their own). Then, since this was supposed to be a very harsh version, I upped the chorus and added more strings, plus an arpeggiated synthesizer underneath everything. Finally, I mixed it "loud", i.e. with very little dynamic range, since I wanted this to be a psychologically unpleasant remix and to mix in with all of the sound effects in the movie (loud mixes do well in noisy environments). The image is basically what goes through my head when I imagine a fully-animated Diamond In The Rough: imagine what could be possible if this were either a legit cartoon or a live action movie.
