In this episode of Walk for Peace, we share the quiet story of Venerable Ajahn Pichet, a Thai forest monk whose practice speaks louder than words. For 13 years, he has not slept lying down—only sitting. He walks barefoot, keeps only three robes, and continues to mend the same worn robe again and again—refusing replacement, not because he lacks options, but because he lives by a vow of simplicity, restraint, and contentment. Along the road, the Sangha eats one meal a day, before noon—an ancient discipline taught as a way to train desire and return to what is enough. And as they prepare for a long pilgrimage of about 2,300 km, the old robe becomes more than cloth—it becomes a mirror. Because the robe is not perfect. It’s patched. Uneven. Impossible to dye into one flawless color. And that “imperfection”… may be the most honest beauty of the path: patience, brotherhood, and letting go. This is not a story about suffering for attention. It’s a story about inner freedom—step by step, breath by breath. If you’ve been tired, chasing comfort, or holding on too tightly… may this gentle story help you loosen your grip… and breathe again. 🙏 Namo Buddha #WalkForPeace #Meditation #innerpeace Source; walforpeace, synthetic...
