Delphine, a Belgian yé-yé girl from the 60's released the 7" single 'La Fermeture Éclair' in 1967. The song is a cover from 'In the past' from the American band 'We the people'. Delphine's cover was made without the American band's consent. Delphine's real name was Dany Bury from Quaregnon, Belgium, born October 3, 1947. She studied dramatic arts with Claude Chabrol and took a year of drawing in preparation for a career in architecture, presumably before signing first a contract with DECCA. The word Fermeture éclair (zipper) in this song is split to make it sound longer. In a translation, it is almost impossible to visualize it.
