The Preinstallation Verification Test is required by RCSC/AISC specifications. This test must be conducted on site by the installation crew to ensure that all bolt assemblies, lubrication, and installation tools can achieve minimum bolt tension prior to installation. This test is intended to identify possible issues between fasteners and tools before field installation begins. In this video, we’ll be testing a three quarter by two and a quarter inch A435 bolt, A563 DH nut, and F436 type 3 3/4” washer.
