I think that one’s totaled…. Camping gone wrong.

I got a call from a lady who slid down an icy hill while pull her camp trailer behind her Chevy Suburban and jackknifed it into the gate. Unfortunately the front corner if the trailer did major damage to the Suburban, but luckily the trailer was unharmed. I headed up with the 4x4 wrecker to see what I could do, and luckily there were some good trees to work with, since the road was blocked and I couldn’t get to the other side. I was able to pull the trailer off the suburban, then the suburban off the gate, and then get everything straightened out to point down the hill. A sheriffs deputy and forest service officer both stopped by and stayed until everyone was out of there safe to make sure we didn’t need anymore assistance, and the forest service officer followed the lady back out of the woods to make sure she made it safe. Overall the job went good, but the Suburban is damaged enough that it is probably totaled, and I took a fall that broke some of my camera gear and left me with a sore back. But the important part is that everyone made it out safe, and no further damage was done to the vehicles.
