Security Guard Shot, Killed During Attempted Robbery at East Los Angeles Marijuana Dispensary

EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif., Sept. 30 (KNN) — A security guard at an East Los Angeles marijuana dispensary was fatally shot during a robbery attempt on the business early Monday morning. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies from the East Los Angeles station responded to a gunshot victim shortly before 2 a.m. in the 6100 block of Whittier Boulevard. Once deputies and firefighters arrived at the scene, they located a security guard suffering from a gunshot wound. Firefighters and paramedics pronounced the person dead at the scene.
