Welcome to Animator's Breakfast. Just a quick note before you dive in. This is different to my usual visual essays, firstly because it's a podcast, and secondly its more a discussion rather than a presentation. It's not taking over from my Any-mation work, but rather a little side project to supplement how long it takes me to make a video and still provide interesting Animated discussions. Directed by Brad Bird, this 1999 epic traditionally animated feature film has stood the test of time to become one of the greatest animated features of all time. We talk about its storytelling mechanics and how important it is to understand giving relationships time and earning that emotion. We also discuss how it inspired Aidan's work throughout the years, from college all the way to now, where he just won Best Director for Dangermouse at Animation Dingle and Best Animation at the Galway Film Fleadh for Streets of Fury.
