He is the director of male infertility microsurgical research and training at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He is the pride of our Chinese Andrologists worldwide. He is also an important external academic force and promoter to the advancement of Chinese Andrology. He has been tirelessly and industriously promoting male microsurgery in China as his own responsibility. He has played a key role to introduce, and popularize male infertility microsurgery and technology to his colleagues in China. He has mentored and trained more than 40 Chinese experts from top Chinese universities at Weill Cornell in the United States. He has cultivated a large number of elites for Chinese andrology and male infertility community. He led the campaign of the Chinese ShangRing male circumcision globally. He has actively contributed to the recognition of Chinese Urology and Andrology technology by the international community. He commuted back and forth many times a year to China and the United States and tirelessly passing, sharing and imparting Cornell experience with his colleagues in China. He is a man of modesty and kindheartedness. He is regarded as a great “bosom friend" by his Chinese colleagues. He is a great friend of Chinese andrology and men's health community. He is also a "companion" of the Chinese male infertility and academic community. The winner of the 2017 Chinese Distinguished Constitutions & Services Award of Reproductive Health and Men’s Health goes to Professor (Philip) Shihua Li, Director of the Center for Male Infertility Microsurgery Training of the Chinese Andrology Society, and Weill Cornell Medicine of Cornell University, Professor (Philip) Shihua Li
