This tutorial series is recorded for the NASA Young Innovators: Game Design Summer Camp at the Cuyahoga County Public Library in 2021. The program is designed for middle school level students, but we usually have attendees that are younger or older. We will cover some core concepts with variables and logic statements, and dive right into designing the game! We will make a retro top-down action RPG like "Legend of Zelda" using some free art assets from itch.io. We will cover how to create your own art and music in a later workshop. This series covers the programming portion of the summer camp.
