Video taken on 6/21/14. Weekly test of the Laurens County siren system. This siren is tested every Saturday at 12:00 PM EST (not depending on the weather conditions). This siren is a single phase model (3T22B). I did not really know it will sound hi-lo for its test! This siren is actually sounding "hi-lo-fast-wail". I actually recorded this siren before, on December 29, 2012, it had to be manually set off in hi-lo by the firefighter because it had a radio problem. Now, I decided to come back to re-record this siren to see if it was fixed. I was 70% sure it wasn't fixed when I was at this siren. Until I was told it was fixed! I'm unsure why it was programmed to sound alternate wail (hi-lo-fast-wail). This siren test was set off by the county. This siren is located near Laurens, South Carolina at Sandy Springs fire department off of Sandy Springs road and 308 near 49.
