All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi condemned the Karnataka 'hijab' row. In an exclusive conversation with India Today, Owaisi raised questions including why are muslim women being stopped and why a sudden decision was made to ban hijab. He also slammed BJP government over hijab ban. "Grave violations of the Constitution's Articles 15, 19 and 21 are being committed in Karnataka", he said. Several protests have erupted in Karnataka after some students were allegedly denied entry to college wearing hijab (a headscarf worn by Muslim women) on February 4.
