There is no such thing as perfect paint, even if the car is NEW. Once a car is manufactured and transported, there is a handful of variables that can affect the paint and clear coat. Improper dealership washing, car covers, tape lines, and over spray to name a few! Today our pro detailers discuss why a brand new car would need a detail and some of the imperfections to look for when buying a new car. Fellow YouTuber and professional detailer, Larry at AMMONYC recently uploaded a perfect examples of a NEW Porsche with uneven paint, and marring in the clear coat EVEN THOUGH the buyer requested the car stay in the wrapping film. This is why polishing a new car isn't so outrageous. Once the paint is polished to "perfection," that's when you can maintain the car with wax/sealant, or give it the extra protection with PPF (Paint protection Film) / A Ceramic coating such as Opti-Coat Pro. On higher end new cars, the detailing process is extremely important to the customer, when they are using PPF to make sure the paint is perfect. As far as how to detail a new car, it requires the same steps as a used car, but will most likely be easier. And once your car is new new, make sure you are using the BEST microfiber on the market...hint hint. Have you detailed a brand new car? What imperfections did you find from the dealership?
