End Cottage, stage two....watercolour washes

So, following on from the initial drawing, here’s the second stage: adding watercolour to those areas of the drawing I selected to highlight... in this case, it’s the lovely stone wall in front of the cottage. I also decided to add a paler wash on the fells in the background, as without this, there would be an unexplained large white area, which would confuse the eye, and take the focus away from the cottage. I described the colours I used in my commentary, but if you,d like them detailed further, just leave a comment below.
