In this video I will show you this Arcan hybrid steel/aluminum 3 ton floor jack. The build quality is excellent and very easy to use. Even though it's a hybrid construction, the jack is not that light, but lighter than an all steel jack. The wide footprint makes is very safe to use on big or small vehicles. NOTE: As to whether a 3 ton jack can support your vehicle. Remember you will either jack one corner of the vehicle or one axle on your vehicle at any one time. Keep in mind 3 ton = 6000 lbs. If your car's total weight (GVWR) is 6000 lbs, you are not lifting the entire car with this jack. If you lift one corner, the weight might be 2000 lbs (1 ton). Or if you lift one axle, the weight might be 4000 lbs (2 ton). So this 3 ton jack will be able to handle most small to full size vehicle.
