We set sail from the vibrant port of Ensenada to the tranquil haven of Bahia de Asuncion in Baja, Mexico! Join the crew on this seafaring odyssey filled with thrilling moments and breathtaking scenery. Shortly after leaving Ensenada we saw whales off in the distance and dolphins all around the boat. We were able to catch underwater footage of them! In this gripping adventure, witness the excitement of catching a Yellowfin tuna in the deep blue waters along our route. Feel the adrenaline as we reel in this prized catch, sharing the joy of the sea's bountiful treasures. But the ocean is full of surprises, and our journey doesn't stop there. Brace yourself as we navigate through the twists and turns of the open sea, encountering a squall that tests our seamanship. Experience the raw power of nature as the winds pick up, and the waves dance around us. As we approach the serene Bahia de Asuncion, marvel at the contrast between the stormy seas and the calm waters of the bay. The journey is not just about reaching a destination but embracing the unpredictable beauty of the ocean. Join us for a captivating tale of adventure, fishing triumphs, and weathering the storm as we sail from Ensenada to Bahia de Asuncion. This is more than a voyage; it's an exploration of the sea's wonders and the resilience of those who dare to sail its vast expanse. We’re really just a couple of average Joes. In a nutshell we met and married in our early 20s; I graduated from college in my late 20s; adopted two cats and a dog in the late 90s; sold a house and bought a new house in our mid 30s; then sold the new house and moved onto a sailboat in our early 40s. In between all that we had a bunch of fun like camping, scuba diving, watching hockey games (Go Red Wings!), concerts, traveling, spear fishing, restoring a 1963 Chevy II Nova; spending time with family and friends. A few years ago we decided to lay off all the fun-having to fix up this old boat. We figure if we put our noses to the grindstone for a few years, we’ll be able to travel for a few years and do all the fun things we’ve missed.
