호미곶은 호랑이를 닮은 한반도에서 꼬리에 해당하는 곳이라 하여 "호미곶"이라는 이름을 가지고 있습니다. 상생의 손은 사람의 양손을 청동으로 만들었는데요. 바다쪽은 오른손 해맞이 광장은 왼손이 바다와 육지에서 서로 마주보는 형상으로 설치되어 있습니다. 2000년에 호미곶 해맞이 축전에서 새천년을 맞아 상생과 화합을 상징하는 상징물로 설치되었다고 합니다. 상생의 손 하나로 더 특별해진 바다 우리나라 육지에서 가장 먼저 해가 뜨는 곳입니다. 호미곶은 일출을 보는 대표적인 명소이죠 왼쪽은 해파랑길이 있고요 파도 소리 보다 바람 소리가 더 크게 들리는 곳입니다...
